Semper Fi CFL

West Coast Choppers is Proud to be building a bike for a guy who does us all proud.

Sometimes we get a build that is a little extra special to us. In this case it’s the bike we’ve currently got up on the lift for Steve Schultz. He’s with the Military Transition Team 721 and has already got two tours in Iraq under his belt. Currently, he’s in the states doing firefighter training in the midwest, and after that he’s going to head back overseas for one more tour of duty in Afghanistan. But in the meantime, he’s going to see one of his life long dreams come true. He’s getting a CFL built from the ground up.

Steve first came to us in 2006 and told us he wanted us to build the bike of his dreams, and this January he gave us the go ahead to begin production. The bike is a CFL that’s going to be totally dialed in when it’s finished. It’s getting a S&S 113 motor, 6 speed Baker tranny, Primo Belt Drive, Brembo Brakes, WCC Forward Controls and a very special Marine Corps tribute paint job by our very own Hot Dog. The unveiling will be in about 3 months, but we’ll be posting an occasional blog photos along the way.

When he was at the shop, Steve presented Jesse a USMC banner to thank him for his continued support of the military. That was pretty cool. We’re really looking forward to kicking ass on this bike and making it something he can really feel proud to ride around. And as a big THANKS for his service to the country. It’s because of people like him that we can all sleep a little better at night.

My 2 brothers are marines, 1 served 2 tours in iraq, the other works at a spot (prolly classified), next to occ jerk-offs, anyhow, your 100% true, the folks who served and who are serving are selfless, we owe our freedom, to them..

It’s young Marine’s like the brothers noted above, as well as all who have gallantly served in our Nations battles, (Vietnam, Beirut, Kuwait, Iraqi) as well as her current ones, (Haiti, Afghanistan) that the Semper Fi CFL is being conceived, built & dedicated to. Thanks WCC, (Bill, Pete, Andrew, Doc, Hector, Pedro, Big Chris and above all Jesse) for turning this dream into reality…SEMPER FI MARINES!!!
