What do you coat these with? My dad was a gunsmith and he use to coat guns with Dupont Teflon and that stuff was awesome. It bakes into the metal's molecular structure. You could pour stomach acid on the stuff and it would just bead off and leave no mark. If the finished was scratched, it didn't matter. The metal that was showing was still rust proof. My Aunt's gun was sitting under 12 feet of water and chemicals in Katrina, and when she found it all she had to do was clean the barrel in the inside and wipe the rest of the gun down and it was good to go.
