OUR GIRL CAME HOME TODAY! (Feb 17, 2010)
The search is over! We got a call from a gal by the name of Rosaura in Los Angeles today saying she had Cinny. Since we have had quite a few false alarms, we were cautiously optimistic. She said she’d bring Cinnabun to us, and everyone at the shop was really anxious for her to get here to see if it was, in fact, Cinny. The car pulls in, the door flings open, and out pops Cinnabun! It’s been just over 3 weeks since we last saw her, and were starting to wonder if we’d ever get her back…and there she was.
She’s in good shape…maybe a few pounds thinner than when she left. But super happy to be home. We’re taking her to the vet to get her all checked out and chipped, and GPS’d, and live-tracked by Google Earth…the works. We don’t want to lose this little gal again!!!
Thanks to everyone who sent us emails, calls, and well wishes over the past few weeks, and a BIG thanks to Rosaura in Los Angeles who found her and brought her back.West Coast thanks you all, and a special thanks from Mr.T who is happy to have his little buddy back. Let the barking, wrastlin’, and bone chasing begin!

I’m so happy CinnaBun was returned. You can tell how happy she is to be home by the pics you posted. I love the one where she is looking into Mr. Jame’s eyes. That is love and appreciation!!!!! I have always had Rottie’s (3 @ a time). Best dogs ever.
Remember to start feeding CinnaBun slowly today. Small meals throughout the day to get her stomach back into shape. If she’s not digesting very well at first, give her some chicken noodle soup. Works great on doggies and the salt in the soup maintains the fluids in her system & makes her drink water.

So Happy Cinnabun has been found and returned safely! Looking at these pictures, the last one with Cinnabun and the gray pit took me by surprise I have a female that looks exactly the same except her ears aren’t cropped and I rescued her from the SPCA and have had a couple of close calls when she has gotten out of the gate. I understand the desperation in needing to find them!

I only ask that you make this an opportunity to encourage pet lovers to microchip their pets. I cannot tell you how many times I have rescued stray/lost dogs to find that they are not chipped. Our dog Lola was a stray and was clearly someone’s dog, but was never reunited with her previous human friends. We immediately had her chipped once we adopted her. Congratulations for Cinny, Jesse, Sandra and everyone else who lost sleep over her disappearance and thoughts of not knowing where she was or if you’d ever see her again.
I lost a friend (I won’t call him a pet) for 8 very LONG days and nights. I won’t ever forget the toll it took on the entire family. He wasn’t just loved. He was a part of my family. I remember non of us being able to deal with the thoughts of where he was and how we would begin to deal with his loss. Simply devastating. God bless you all. – JFW x

i confess i wondered if the search for this pooch was in vain.
where i live, dogs are stolen often — right off the street. people — be aware that you should not leave your dog tied up on the corner while you shop. it’s a tragedy to break a dog’s heart. if you love your dog, protect your dog.
but clearly, the big-hearted one here is the angel with his arms around this sweet doggie. he never gave up his search. he kept on when others would have given up. he had faith. i’m so happy for him and Cinnabun that his faith is rewarded. nothing sweeter. absolutely nothing sweeter on this planet than the love these 2 feel for each other. hurray for them!

I am so happy for you. I lost my Am Staff on Christmas eve on I70 in Kingdom City, MO. She just vanished when she ran from the scene of the accident. We are heart broken and have not found her.We belive someone rescued her and decided to keep her. I understand the heartache of just “not knowing” what happened to the love of your life. It gives me hope, but I am desolate because I may never see her again.
She was chipped, but I have found that unless she is taken to a shelter, vets do NOT always check.

I think it would make a huge impact if Sandra would promote saving and understanding the Pilbull (and stopping BSL). She is such a popular and loved actress that I think people would listen. Pitbulls are one of the most loving and loyal dogs but many people do not know this – they only hear about the scum that use them to fight.

I am so thankful Cinny is home, safely! I’ve been praying that she was in safe, loving hands & not a retaliation from any of your neighborhood gangs, as previously suspected in reports! My Rat Terrier is not only chipped, but as a registered “Service Dog,” has a real honest to goodness Dog Tag with his certification # & Name – “Jimbo”, issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ)! You might want to consider this option cuz No One Messes with the DOJ!

Dear Jesse,
So happy to hear your dog was returned. 2008 I was at the Pismo dune with my dogs and one of them took off when she heard the fire works. That was New Years Eve. After weeks even months went by, I thought I would never get her back. In July I got a phone call from some one on the dunes, they had caught her and called me. I went to get her and the people couldn’t believe that she knew who my daughter and I were; poor girl was living on the dunes for 7 months. She had only lost 12 lbs, she looked a bit ragged. I can honestly say she does not get far from me these days when we go places. I love my daughter, but there is just something special about your pets.. Best wishes… Danielle
